Advanced Supply Chain opens new Birstall operations centre
Advanced Supply Chain, a provider of shipping, warehousing and distribution services, has opened a new 200,000 sq ft operations centre at Birstall in Leeds, UK.
The company said that the new facility was in response to increased demand from its clothing manufacturing and freight forwarding clients
The new Birstall facility which brings the total operational space to more than one million sq ft is expected to create more than 150 jobs.
Advanced Supply Chain general manager Jane Marshall said the company is experiencing a huge demand from the UK clothing sector for pre-retailing operations in the UK.
"This, combined with a requirement for additional warehousing for new freight forwarding customers, which has occurred as a result of the Sinotrans partnership, means that our new Leeds facility will be run as an additional operations centre alongside our main pre retail site in Holmfield, Halifax," Marshall said.
