Avnet Logistics names new SVP of logistics warehousing and distribution for Americas
Avnet Logistics, a global logistics and warehousing arm of Avnet, has promoted Robert Brenner as the new senior vice president of logistics warehousing and distribution for the Americas who will report to Avnet Logistics president Jim Smith.
In his new role, Brenner will be responsible for the company's warehousing and logistics infrastructure, supporting the company's multi-billion dollar business in the Americas.
Smith said Bob has established an exceptional track record that has accelerated productivity and driven higher service levels.
"His vision, experience, and remarkable focused energy will continue to drive the expansion of our global logistics infrastructure in Latin America, while continuing to refine our established operations in the US and Canada," Smith said.
Brenner joined Avnet in July 2008 as global vice president of quality and was promoted to vice president of warehousing logistics and distribution in August 2010.
Before joining Avnet, he held progressively more responsible engineering and management positions at General Dynamics and McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, in addition to broad experience in the technology distribution industry.
