Broekman Logistics utilises Arshiya's FTWZ as distribution hub
Broekman Logistics India, a subsidiary of Netherlands-based Broekman Group, has started utilizing Arshiya International's Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Mumbai to cater to their India-based customers.
As a hub for all of Broekman's distribution activities into India, the company will utilize the FTWZ for India-based customers, especially in the chemical and engineering products segment.
Broekman Logistics India will use the 165-acre zone as the central hub for all imports for feeding their customers across India.
Similar to the India hub, Broekman Logistics also operates a significant facility in Rotterdam Port where it caters its European customers.
This FTWZ is the first zone of five such FTWZs that Arshiya has planned across India, and is operational in Panvel since last year.
Broekman Logistics India vice president-Indian Operations Rajiv Nathan said this kind of state-of-the-art infrastructure and integrated logistics framework is common in many parts of the world but is only now available in India.
Arshiya International chairman and managing director Ajay Mittal said with the availability of world class state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure such as their FTWZ in India, leading companies such as Broekman can leverage India's strategic location between South East Asia and the Middle East to make India as their regional import and distribution hub.
