Ceva Logistics renews automotive supplies contract with Sogefi

LBR Staff Writer Published 18 May 2017

Supply chain management company Ceva Logistics has renewed and expanded its automotive supplies contract with Sogefi Filtration Spain for an additional three years.

Italian firm Sogefi Group designs and manufactures filtration, air intakes, cooling systems and flexible suspension components.

In 2009, Ceva first secured contract from Sogefi, which has been further extended based on the existing partnership.

As part of the expanded contract, Ceva will continue to provide receipt, storage, order picking and shipment preparation services for Sogefi.

Ceva will also deliver Sogefi’s spare parts to the customers.

Earlier, Ceva carried out all these activities from its logistics center at Subirats in Barcelona. At the starting of the year, the company has shifted the operations to its multi-user hub at Ontígola, near Madrid.

According to Ceva, Sogefi’s operation is currently installed and fully operational at the 55,000m² facility.

Ceva managing director Marco Galbusera said: “The renewal of this contract highlights the excellent service Ceva has been offering to Sogefi over the past seven years.

“Sogefi’s trust in Ceva has been growing every year and the decision to move the operations to our multi-user hub in the center of Spain, will allow SOGEFI’s goods to be closer to their main customers in this region.”

Sogefi’s Spain general manager Matilde Raso said: "Sogefi pursues continuous improvement to optimise service and evolve towards integrated logistics with major partners.”

With around 42,000 employees in more than 170 countries, Ceva provides supply chain solutions to the large and medium-size national and multinational companies across different industries.
