Ceva Logistics wins three-year contract from UK’s Oak Tree Mobility

Supply chain management firm Ceva Logistics has secured a three-year contract from UK-based assisted living products provider Oak Tree Mobility.

Under the deal, Ceva will provide warehouse and distribution services to the Oak Tree Mobility’s customers across the south of the UK.

Ceva will use its Daventry shared-used facility to manage warehousing of products.The contract is part of Ceva UK’s areNET program.

The teams from Ceva will take responsibility for the collation of customer purchases, and then the delivery, set-up and fulfilment of the orders that comprised of adjustable beds and rise and recline chairs.

Ceva UK, Ireland and Nordics executive vice president Michael O’Donoghue said: “The solution we have developed for Oak Tree utilises CEVA’s national distribution network and provides a highly personalised operation to meet their specific supply chain needs.

“We are using a number of advanced technologies including ‘Sign on Glass’ to increase the visibility of Oak Tree’s supply chain to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to their customers across the south of the UK.”

In March this year, Ceva opened new shared-user warehouse facility in the UK.

The 215,800ft² shared-user warehouse is located at the new iPort intermodal logistics park on the outskirts of Doncaster.

The facility holds capacity to accommodate up to 28,000 pallets, and provides parking bays for 110 HGV in its 55m yard, as it is near to 35 acre rail terminal.

Ceva will use the new facility to offer warehousing, planning, transport, administration, customized value-added services for multiple consumer and retail customers. It also helps to provide cross-docking functions from iPort.
