Fetch robotics partners with robotics integrator ONExia to bring logistics expertise to Mid-Atlantic

Published 09 June 2017

ONExia, a distributor and integrator of robotics technology for the Mid-Atlantic, and Fetch Robotics, manufacturer of autonomous robot systems for the warehouse and logistics industries, announced a partnership agreement.

This partnership extends Fetch Robotics sales and support services to better serve the rapidly expanding demand for its autonomous mobile robots. This agreement allows ONExia to sell and support Fetch Robotics' entire line of commercial robotic hardware and software solutions in the Mid-Atlantic.

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) from Fetch Robotics work alongside warehouse workers safely and efficiently. Rather than being restricted to fixed routes, the line of AMRs can instead navigate dynamically using a map, allowing them to plan their own paths to travel quickly and efficiently anywhere they need to go. AMRs from Fetch also have onboard intelligence that allows them to recognize and react to people, cars, forklifts, and other dynamic obstacles in the warehouse facility. They can also safely continue doing their jobs no matter how busy the surrounding environment. Customer implementations have proven to deliver almost immediate efficiency benefits in warehouse and manufacturing workflows.

“We are delighted to have ONExia representing Fetch in the U.S.,” said Norm Williams, Director of Sales for Fetch Robotics. “With their extensive experience in selling industrial and service robots in the Mid-Atlantic, more than 25 years of know-how, and world-class engineers, they are an ideal partner for us.”

ONExia works with a wide variety of robotics companies and products, and includes integration and training services to better insure project success. They offer a comprehensive suite of services including products and solutions for motion control, precision positioning, robotics, networking, inspection, and machine safety. “We are excited about our partnership with Fetch Robotics,” according to Greg Selke, CEO of ONExia, Inc. “Through our industrial experience and knowledge of the capabilities of the Fetch product line, we will be able to provide the best service, support, integration and education to customers in the Mid-Atlantic. We have seen the benefit of these robots to the warehouse and logistics industry and can't wait to help put them out in the world."
