Global Logistic receives LEED Platinum certification for Misato III

LBR Staff Writer Published 13 November 2013

Global Logistic Properties, a Singapore-based provider of modern logistics facilities, has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification for GLP Misato III.

GLP Misato III features unique seismic isolation construction method that allows the building structure to withstand large earthquakes; back-up power supply systems to protect against power outages; alongside an air ventilation system to maintain office air quality.

This development project also uses solar panels, LED lighting and thermal insulation materials, and heat-reflective paint on roof to maintain cool indoor temperature. It is the first logistics facility in Japan to achieve LEED Platinum, the company claims.

Developed and managed by the US Green Building Council, LEED is the world's most widely recognized and used standard for measuring the performance of green buildings.

Global Logistic Properties designs, builds, and manages multi-tenant distribution facilities; offers build-to-suit development services.
