Logwin opens new fashion warehouse in Beijing

LBR Staff Writer Published 03 February 2012

Logwin, a global logistics service provider, has opened a new 'red carpet logistics' warehouse in Beijing to provide services for its customers in the fashion and lifestyle segment.

The new 1,500 sq m facility, which is the company's second warehouse in Asia is six kilometres from the airport where it can optimize logistics services for brands with special storage areas and services.

The logistics provider is also planning to open new locations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Jakarta.

Logwin COO of air + ocean business segment Helmut Kaspers said the demand for special logistics solutions for high-quality fashion and lifestyle products is continuing to grow in Asia.

"With the opening of the second 'red carpet logistics' warehouse in Beijing we are responding to current developments," Kaspers said.

"We have been operating successfully on behalf of customers from the fashion and lifestyle sector in Europe as well as in Asia for many years.

"The AirTextainer has proved to be a great success in transporting hanging garments. It allows crease-free deliveries without any need to reload the goods even when a combination of transportation modes is used."

The company is responsible for the entire supply chain for fashion and lifestyle products within its own network - from procurement, transportation, customs clearance and preparation through to delivery to the point of sale.
